The Red Devils have officially announced their first ever female team, who are due to play in the FA Women’s Championship this upcoming season.

Plans for the team were put forward publically several months ago, yet the selection of specific players was still very much up in the air. Just a few weeks prior to the start of the season, the Reds have finally revealed the 21 female players who will bear the shirt for the first time in the club’s history.

This adds United to the long list of teams with a female squad, something that has taken far too long to happen, yet we’re pleased to be seeing more and more in recent years.
